Jessica Willis - Stylist

I met Jessica several years ago through a friend and she and Dechel McKillian styled me for a photo shoot i was doing for my music press kit. Needless to say they were out of this world good. I had so much fun coming up with outfits with them - from the pieces in all of our personal collections to (my first experience of) taping the bottom of shoes so that they can be returned to ripping stocking on my legs to getting the honor of wearing one of her magical headpiece creations.
Jessica has gone on to style huge names and literally my FAVORITE fashionable female rapper Azealia Banks as well as Rita Ora and many beautiful editorial shoots. Dechel(website comig soon) went on to style Lil Wayne and Black Eyed Peas tours and one of my fave local artists with a sick fashion sense J Davey. Get it? they're good.
Here are some of Jessica's amazing stylings from her website Jessica Willis and check out her sick blog too at Jessswill. Love. rad. Style idol? Definitely. Bow down to some serious style royalty.

And just for fun - remember these Jess? lol

Whistles

I discovered this line through the blog Neon/Bible where in one of her recent posts she mentions a must have leather jacket from Whitsles.  While exploring their current fall/winter line, I came across many great holiday staples like the perfect l.b.d.(little black dress) and other great party dresses for thanksgiving, christmas and new years, as well as items that maintain a classic, effortless feel while nodding to current trends like leather, scalloped edges, rhinestones, peplums and stripes. Although my favorite thing is the Lulu Frost Art Deco Earring (pictured first on my post here).

To tell you a little more about Whistles, it is a UK based brand and company founded in 1976 by Lucille Lewin who, along with their own brand, began to launch new labels and designers from the likes of John Galliane to Jean Paul Gaultier. Now, since 2008, to revamp and revolutionize the company, Jane Shepardson (former Brand Director and savior of Topshop) has taken the lead. Their motto is as follows, "EFFORTLESS FASHION FOR CONTEMPORARY WOMEN".
